Coffee Morning for Ukraine

A total of £1,100 was raised for the victims of the war in Ukraine at a Coffee Morning in Abbots Morton Village Hall on Tuesday 22nd March.

The money raised will go to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

There was also a sizeable collection of medical supplies and toiletries which will be transported to Ukraine. The Coffee morning was attended by Anastasia Danitoiu from Evesham who was able to give first hand accounts of the desperate situation in Ukraine.

The chair of the village hall committee, Lynne Pemberton, said:

“This was a wonderful event organised by the village hall trustees and so well supported by the community, donating generously and bringing medical supplies and toiletries. We would particularly like to thank all those people who made and donated so many fabulous cakes for the event.”

Mrs Danitoiu says anyone who wishes to donate further medical supplies can take them to Bretforton Manor.
